The Harborlites Chorus is thrilled and honored to be representing Region 21 - and Sweet Adelines - as the 2008 International Chorus Champions!

Calgary was an intense experience as we put the final preparations on our competition songs and show numbers, were spurred on by our coaches and had teams of volunteers working to complete our new costumes on time. With all the preparations finally in place, it was a joy to be able to share our music with the Calgary audience and with the world - and to come out on top alongside such gifted musical competitors.

We must take this opportunity to thank some very special people. First our coaches, Dale Syverson, Tony DeRosa, Jeff Baker, and Erin Howden as well as our "mother" Joni Bescos who worked with us year-round and literally touched each one of us as we waited backstage. We must thank Gerry Papageorge who, again, created an amazing costume design. And we would not be champions without the gifted leadership, artistry, and heart of our beloved director, Pam Pieson.

We must also congratulate our four regional quartets - One Voice, Razzcals, Shimmer! and SparX - on an outstanding performance in Calgary. And we're especially proud of our own front row tenors, Patty Cobb Baker, Dawn Anne Gladden, and Dana Gibbs, who all made the cut!

Speaking of making the cut, we are looking forward to joining Scottsdale and San Diego in Honolulu next Fall...alongside Razzcals, Shimmer!, SparX and all of the other quartets Region 21 will be sending. Aloha!
