Reprint from GoldenWest Magazine - Harborlites Fall News

Fore! Thanks to all who participated in the second annual Harborlites Harmony Golf Classic on October 16th. The event included golf followed by an evening including dinner, a festive silent auction and entertainment from a number of quartets, including Spirit performing their international package. The event benefitted our International competitors and performers.

Coming up is our annual show, "How Swede It Is!" on November 1st at Carpenter Theater in Long Beach. We will be hosting our special guests, the Rönninge Show Chorus from Sweden, in our homes as well as on the show. Talk about 'harmonizing the world!' Rönninge will be joined by SALT, SparX, Spirit, and OC Times, the 2008 BHS Quartet Champions. If you don't have your tickets, get some on-line today at our website: www.harborliteschorus.org. And don't forget to stay for our afterglow to meet our friends from Rönninge and celebrate Harborlites' 2008 championship year.

We'll all be leaving the afterglow and heading to the airport for International in Honolulu. With performances on the Showcase show, mic-testing, singing our championship "swan song," and teaching our Master Class, we know we'll be busy.

We must thank our coaches for their help in preparing for Hawaii: Joni Bescos, Dale Syverson, Erin Howden, Jeff Baker, and Tony DeRosa...and send special congratulations to Joni for her 50-year anniversary with Sweet Adelines.

We are proud to be sending four Harborlites quartets to International: Razzcals, Shimmer!, SparX, and Spirit. Add Affinity, Gold Dust, San Diego Chorus, and Scottsdale Chorus -- Region 21 will be well-represented. We'll be there to cheer you on!
